PHASED RE-OPENING STARTING ON MONDAY 4TH MAY
These are unprecedented times for all businesses and Build UK members are keen to see manufacturers and suppliers increase the supply of goods and materials to construction sites. The Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Alok Sharma, has written an open letter to the manufacturing sector stating: “Manufacturing is a critical part of our economy and I would like to be clear that there is no restriction on manufacturing continuing under the current rules”.
As a result of the guidance from the Government, and in conjunction with feedback from our customers and suppliers it is our intention to begin a phased and limited re-opening of our business operations, starting on Monday 4th May, between the hours of 9am and 4pm only.
UPDATE: From Monday 18th May the sales office will be open from 8am – 4pm.
We will be closely following the guidance from Public Health England on Social distancing in the workplace during coronavirus (COVID‐19).
Due to the nature of our operations, opening in-line with the above guidance will mean that our services will be initially limited by staffing levels during the phased re-opening, so changes to our delivery services will need to be implemented and we will only be allowing pre-arranged contactless collections and further limiting access to our premises and trade counter to protect our staff and customers.
During the first week our priority will be speaking to our all of our customers to understand your position, along with starting to arrange deliveries and providing collection slots for doors.
In order to protect our staff and customers, we will be restricting access to all areas of our premises at all times.
